Where my love of real estate started
Real estate has pulled at my attention for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I was the one intrigued by a for-sale sign going up, curious about what a house was worth and why, drawn in by the way a home could tell a story just by how it was built or cared for. I liked understanding what things cost, and what they'd cost me someday. It wasn't something I studied for, it was just always there, quietly pulling at me.
My husband and I built our family's stability together, and we each made deliberate choices about how to do that. I took the corporate route, a steady career that let me work remotely and be home with our kids as they grew up. That was my contribution to the life we built, and I don't look back on it as time spent waiting. Once our youngest graduated high school, I finally had the room to chase something that had been sitting quietly in the background my whole life. Getting my real estate license wasn't a consolation prize, it was simply the right next chapter, one my husband and I both saw coming.
Why I do this
I've been on the other side of the table more times than most agents twice my years in the business. I was a first-time buyer once, nervous about every form I signed. I've sold a home. I've relocated more than once, including a stretch living in Louisville before my family and I came back home to Northwest Indiana. And right now, my husband and I are downsizing, going through the exact process a lot of my future clients will be going through too.
I remember what it felt like to need someone who would actually explain things, return a call, and treat my move like it mattered, not like it was one of forty files on a desk. That's the agent I set out to be.
What I believe
I don't niche down to one kind of client, and that's on purpose. A first-time buyer, a growing family trading up, someone downsizing for any reason, all of it, I've either lived it myself or I'm living it right now. Everyone gets the same honesty, the same responsiveness, and the same level of care, whether it's a starter condo or a family's forever home.
What makes this different
I'm newly licensed, and I'll tell you that straight out rather than let you wonder. What I'm not is new to the business, the industry, or the reality of what a move actually costs someone emotionally, not just financially. I'm backed by Realty Executives Premier, and I bring the eye of someone who has been paying attention to homes and how this market works since she was a little girl.

That's not a tagline I picked because it sounded nice. It's the standard I hold myself to on every single transaction, whether we work together once or for every move you make after this one.
